It's the same record only in a dying media format! Kidding aside, we still love CDs and some of you must like them too, right? The image shown here is a mock up - we will add the final version once they arrive.

This is a live recording that we made when we visited Leesta Vall studios in Brooklyn, NY on March 12th, 2024. All records at Leesta Vall are recorded directly to lathe on equipment that is almost a century old. As a result, these records are mono and best described as "mid to low" fidelity. It was recorded as we played the song live in the studio, with no additional overdubs and mixing. No additional copies are made so each lathe is one of a kind.

lyrics
they call her Emily Strange
But that's not her name
Flying high in the big sky over their heads
The birds in the trees
Riding high on the breeze
Wonders when they will be migrating
She ponders on all things
That she sees through hazel eyes
It's giving Emily wings
and she flies
They say that Emily's strange
Or slightly deranged
Never bothered to really know her at all
It's just like the world
Losing sight of a girl
That they're not really understanding
She reads her books all day
And the pages come alive
It's always Emily's way
And her world
So goodnight Emily Strange
Time to call it a day
Til tomorrow we'll do it all over again
The moon's coming out
And the sun's going down
It's time for a new beginning
Track 1 hooked me out of the gate, and it's an 11-way tie for 2nd-favourite. The lyrics, instrumentation, arrangement, dynamics, performance and production are excellent throughout.
Others have used the word "fresh" to describe Tamar's music, and I agree. I'm never sure what will happen next and that's what makes it so exciting! tommcnally
Shadow Clues was the song the introduced me to Tamar, but Suitcase and Gun is the perfect ending track for an album. Even more so, if you listen to that and automatically go in Start At The End, it feels like a bridge into it. Like going from one stage of life and starting over, only for new situations to arise. jerryslaughter
